Multiview ERP Employee Spotlight: Lead QA Specialist

Written by Daniel Mask | February 15, 2021

Welcome back to our Employee Spotlight series. Here at Multiview, we feel very fortunate to be surrounded by such amazing colleagues, each possessing diverse skills and expertise. We want to highlight them.

We see ourselves not as a technology company, but as a people company.

The eighth of our Employee Spotlight series focuses on our own Daniel Mask, Lead QA Specialist.

Meet Multiview’s Lead QA Specialist, Daniel Mask

What is your role at Multiview?

My role is one of many at Multiview that is focused on providing a great user experience with our software. I am currently Lead QA Specialist.  Day to day I am testing new features, analyzing any bugs found, as well as supporting other QA team members with their testing.

What skills do you leverage in your role?

Effective time management and organization is definitely a must for QA at Multiview. Our software is constantly evolving and improving thanks to the work of our excellent Developers. Prioritizing and coming up with a plan to test all the changes is step #1 for our team. Once the testing starts, other important skills would be an attention to detail and a curious/creative mindset. I think these skills are essential to testing the product as thoroughly as possible.

What do you love most about your role?

I love having a direct impact on what is released to clients. I also love the “eureka” moment when you find the source of particularly troublesome bug.

How did you get involved with Multiview?

Before starting at Multiview I worked at a different company with our CEO Michael Johnson. When MJ moved on to Multiview we stayed in touch, eventually leading to him recruiting me over a couple of drinks. I started in the Finance department before transitioning to QA.

What would you say to someone applying to Multiview?

Do it! I think Multiview is great place to work and really is a people first company, always trying to improve for our employees.

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

I have never drank a coffee, tried a few sips at various points in my life, but not sure if they would even amount to a cup.
