Coulee Medical Center is a critical access hospital serving a rural community across north central Washington State. Like many small healthcare organizations, its finance team operates with limited resources while supporting a wide range of clinical and operational needs. “We had an antiquated system previous to Multiview,” said Kelly Hughes, Chief Financial Officer at Coulee Medical Center. “We had to import the data from manually run reports into spreadsheets to do our balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow.”

Before implementing a modern healthcare ERP, Coulee Medical Center relied heavily on manual processes to generate financial reports. Data had to be exported, manipulated in spreadsheets, and reassembled into usable formats. This added time, complexity, and risk to everyday workflows.

“The data is near real time now, which is a vast improvement over what we had before,” Hughes said. “We had to wait until month end to see where we were. Now every morning I can get in the system and see where we’re at.”

“I can bring up the Multiview screen and share on Zoom meetings and show our board and our leadership team,” Hughes said. “Everybody can see right there on the screen all the reports and where the data comes from.”

That confidence is reinforced by the ability to quickly validate and explain financial data. Shawn Groh, Senior Director of Finance & Controller at Coulee, highlighted the impact of having full visibility into the source of every number.
“We are able to pull reports in real time and drill down to find out where that number came from,” Groh said. “All of the documentation is right there, so if there is a question, we can go directly to the source.”
This level of transparency has also improved the audit process. Instead of searching for supporting documents or reconstructing transactions, the team can access everything directly within the system.
“If there is a problem, we can drill right into that number and find the documentation or backup,” Groh said. “It makes it easy for us and keeps our auditors happy.”

Beyond the system itself, Coulee Medical Center has seen a significant improvement in the level of support they receive.
Having experienced long delays with other systems, the team immediately noticed the difference.
“With Multiview, we get help within the same day, and that is so valuable to us because we need those numbers to be right,” Hughes said.
Groh echoed that experience, noting the responsiveness and consistency of the support team.
“The customer service and implementation teams were phenomenal,” he said. “They were very helpful, very patient, and took great care of us. They continue to follow up and make sure we have what we need.”
