Monroe County Hospital and Clinics is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Albia, Iowa. Like many rural providers, the organization runs lean — but expectations for financial oversight and reporting never ease up. For CFO Larry Brown, CPA, FHFMA, and Controller Amanda Buckingham, the challenge was giving department managers timely access to the right data while keeping core finance processes efficient.
“Multiview enables us to accurately track all aspects of the hospital’s financial systems. The interface with Oracle Health (formerly Cerner) through the ViewSource360 file has been very beneficial for analyzing revenue generation within the facility,” said Brown

Before Multiview, finance operations relied on manual entry and paper workflows. Approvals and reports were slow to produce, and support costs were unpredictable.
“Our process was inefficient. Most tasks were manually completed through data entry and paper processes. Now we have been able to streamline that by using General Ledger entry interface and having electronic invoice approvals and responsibility reports,” said Buckingham
With Multiview in place in place, the team gained consistency and freed up time for more strategic work.

“All managers have online access to budget variance reports. They can drill down within the system to the full detail of any transaction,” said Brown.
The result is stronger accountability and less time spent answering basic questions in finance.

Multiview’s rollout brought together leaders across AP, business office, HR, payroll, and materials management, along with Oracle Health to ensure smooth integration.
Training managers proved simple — most required less than an hour to get comfortable with approvals and reports.

“The biggest value Multiview has provided is in making us more efficient in A/P processing, month-end close, and ease of reporting through the system. We also spend much less time on support calls,” said Brown

“The ViewSource360 file provides a lot of information related to revenue, and I can trust that it ties to our general ledger. This helps me know for sure what the data represents, more so than reporting directly from the EMR,” he said
