In White Salmon, Washington, Skyline Health serves as a lifeline for its community. With 25 beds and 150 employees, this critical access hospital delivers high-quality care while balancing the financial pressures that come with serving a rural population.
For Brenda Schneider, Skyline’s Chief Financial Officer for 20+ years, maintaining financial integrity with limited resources has always been a top priority. With nearly three decades of accounting and finance experience, Schneider leads a small team — the Controller, who also serves as Business Office Manager, and an AP Clerk — to manage the hospital’s complex reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation demands.
Outdated systems and costly support drove the search for better
Before implementing Multiview ERP, Skyline Health struggled with a legacy financial system that couldn’t keep up.
“Most months had at least one issue,” Schneider recalled. “Whether it was something from the revenue cycle not correctly crossing over from our EHR to the ERP, or something on the supply chain side, identification and reconciliation could take several months — for each issue.”
The old system didn’t integrate well with Skyline’s electronic health record, and vendor support was virtually nonexistent.
“We paid $1,500 a month for support and didn’t receive any,” she said. “There was no one to turn to, and it was nearly impossible to dig into either system to determine what was happening.”
Research, reconciliation, and year-end close were long, frustrating processes — draining time, resources, and morale.
Making the switch to Multiview
When Skyline began searching for a new ERP, Schneider and her team focused on three priorities: reliability, usability, and responsive support.

“The initial cost of the product was less,” Schneider said. “And employee time wasted researching ambiguous problems is now nonexistent.”

“The process went very well,” Schneider said. “The Multiview team knew exactly how to handle any hiccups that came up. It’s very user friendly.”

Since implementing Multiview, Skyline’s month-end process has become faster, simpler, and more accurate.
“Very minimal time is spent on closing month-end now,” Schneider said. “We can definitely better track and determine any fluctuations as they occur, even on a daily basis.”
What once required multiple people and days of reconciliation is now handled efficiently by the finance team in hours. With real-time visibility into transactions and balances, Skyline can identify variances immediately and address them before they become issues.
“Research and reporting take a fraction of the time,” Schneider added. “We can easily dig into the system, analyze transactions, and generate reports without exporting data or relying on IT.”

Multiview has empowered Skyline to make data-driven decisions faster and more confidently.
With EMR360, the team can even trace clinical charge details down to the patient level.
“It’s day and night,” she explained. “To be able to research what’s hitting the GL down to the patient level in one process is wonderful.”
The inquiry and reporting tools have become favorites among her team.
“It’s so easy to dig into the system and piece things together,” Schneider said. “We scan documents directly into the system, which saves a tremendous amount of time compared to digging through boxes for that random piece of paper.”
“Multiview allows information to be pulled and analyzed very easily,” Schneider said. “Research can be done in a fraction of the time that we spent completing in other systems.”

“Your implementation and support teams make the others look even worse than we already knew they were,” Schneider said with a laugh. “They’re knowledgeable and conscientious.”

“It makes our jobs fun,” she added. “We need to keep learning and grow as the product grows — but the system makes that easy.”
