Why MADD Chose Multiview ERP As Their Nonprofit Accounting Software

Director of Finance, Shaida Tabatabai, searched for a more efficient accounting software program for its two-person finance department. The organization was operating with multiple programs, add-ons, and Excel spreadsheets. She was unable to process financial statements or do any analysis within one program, making processes very time-consuming and expensive. The charity needed financial statements for audit purposes and to provide management and the board financial reports for showing financial condition, cash flow, decision making, planning and forecasting.

After comparing multiple software options, Shaida says, it was evident that Multiview’s one-stop solution was the right option to achieve the organization’s objectives. Here are a few of the ways that Multiview has helped MADD Canada drive and achieve more efficiency in their financial department.

Q: By using Multiview, have you been able to measure any improvements to productivity or time-saving?

“We are saving hours, days, and even weeks of work because of how Multiview captures the data. We can then easily retrieve it to use it in a meaningful way. Sometimes it would take us weeks to provide analysis, and now we can provide it in 15 minutes to half an hour.”

Q: How has the Month End process improved for MADD Canada?

“The entire accounting process has changed for the better. We have reduced some of the requirements for the month’s end because we found it was redundant. We spend less time on month’s end for sure because it’s not just once a month; we do a lot of things daily, which has reduced our time spent on month’s end.”

Q: What is your favorite feature or part of Multiview?

“My favorite feature is that we can phase the queries and run them, and that has been a lifesaver for us. I do specific monthly reports, and I have built a query for all of them. Now all I have to do is change the month and the period and I’m finished. It’s straightforward.

I love the fact that we can go from journal entry to the source. When looking at expenses, I’m able to click on the source and see the vendor activities, invoices, and contact information.

With customer support, I always receive timely, professional responses. If a problem can’t be resolved, it’s escalated to the next level. Some issues have taken longer to solve; it all depends on how much experience the team has with it. However, overall, I must say, 99.9% of the time, we were able to get satisfactory results.”
